Served as President of the National Tour Association in Lexington, KY for six years until retirement in December 2019.

Served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the American Hotel & Lodging Association for ten years from 2004 until 2014.

Served as President and CEO of the Tennessee Hotel & Lodging Association and the Greater Nashville Hotel & Lodging Association from 1999 to 2004.

Certified and Re-certified by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) as a Certified Association Executive (“CAE”) – ongoing since 2007.

Certified by the Institute for Organizational Management (IOM) n 2004.

Earned Certified Tour Professional (CTP) credentials with NTA in 2017.

Appointed to the United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board in 2018 for a two-year term.

Anointed as a Knights of the Roundtable in 2004 by the Tennessee Tourism Roundtable at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

Served as President, CEO of the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association (WH&LA) for 25 years until retirement.  Called back to serve as Interim CEO for 4 months from February – June 2020 during a vacancy in the CEO position.

Served as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Park & Recreation Association (WPRA) for 9 years until accepting the position at WH&LA. Prior to this served for over 2 years as Membership Director of the Bowling Proprietors Association of Wisconsin (BPAW).
