“Chicks with Sticks” golf friends where the idea began
The concept behind “Back 9 Consultants” was developed by two Certified Association Executives (CAE’s) as they planned their separate retirements from the hospitality industry associations that they had served as the top executive of for a number of years.
In addition to being professional peers for many years and sharing an interest in golf with a common circle of friends, they both discovered something else in common. While they were ready to “retire” from full-time employment with the associations that they had served so passionately over the years, there was also a common desire to tap and re-invest the considerable levels of specialized experience and expertise that each brings to the table from well over 50 combined years in association management (the “Front 9” of their careers) and put it to good use.
A partnership plan was created to enable both to continue to assist hospitality associations with targeted strategic projects to protect and advance their organization, especially during the many current fiscal and operational challenges resulting from the pandemic. This new collaborative partnership is designed to transition into a “Back 9” career evolution, as a new approach to lend a hand to the industry they each care so deeply about.
